Grant-in-Aid

Our largest donor is the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality who makes an annual Grant-in-Aid available to the Community Chest.

Corporate donations

Corporate donations form a large part of our funds that are distributed to beneficiaries. Certain Companies specify that their donation be allocated to an identified beneficiary or project, which comprises part of their corporate social responsibility programme.

Give-As-You-Earn

This project makes it possible for individuals to make a contribution in a voluntary way. Staff members in organisations are encouraged to pledge an affordable amount from their earnings (from as little as R2 per week) to be deducted regularly by the employer, with whom we will make the necessary arrangements. Individual Donors

There are many individuals who make generous donations to help people in need.

Trusts and Estates

Donations from Trusts and Bequests from Estates form part of the annual income and donor base.

Gifts-In-Kind

We also welcome non-financial donations, such as food, toys, and clothing. These gifts are distributed to those who need them the most.
